RCAC Weekly 31/2017

Welcome Emily, her parents and the Chinese students who attending the summer camp. Welcome Lilian Lu and the students from Shanghai visited us again.  Welcome the group of Chinese students visited us last week that they came again.

Here is the summary of the message on 7/30 The Power of Christ’s Spirit – 1 Corinthians 2:1-9

We will continue to study the letter to Corinthians

7/30 We learned about the work of the Spirit is to continue Christ’s ministry on earth through:

  • Giving us power to witness Christ
  • Giving us comfort
  • Giving us wisdom to know Christ

Let us rely on the Spirit to work diligently to expand God’s Kingdom and make Christ’s  name known among the people


8/6 is the first Sunday of August, we will have Holy Communion. Please prepare your heart to receive the Communion. Also, we will have potluck lunch. Please bring your favorite dish to share.

Please continue to remember our STM team for the Youth Camp in QD this week.

Family Fellowship will be held this Saturday 8/5 at 4:30pm at Peter & Yuki Wang’s residence.  Dinner will be potluck.

Grace Chinese Alliance Church invited our youth and their parents to join in their Managing Relationships Workshop on August 12th. Event flyers in church lobby.

We are planning for a special meeting on Sept 30 (Saturday) to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and outreach to the incoming Chinese students.

The theme of RCAC’s 2017 biennial retreat is “Bear Fruit Now”. It will be held at Thousand Pines Retreat Center Oct 27th to Oct 29th.  The early bird registration deadline is September 3rd. Early bird registration cost will be $100/adult, $90/child age 3-11. A day camper participation option will be available for $50/person.
