Devotional – He will bring it to completion – Philippians 1:6

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

In the beginning of the letter to Philippians, Apostle Paul praise God for the church  because of their passion and partnership in the Gospel.  Verse 6 is in the context of spreading the Gospel in particular, all the efforts in expanding God’s kingdom in general.

I believe it can also apply to our spiritual life.  We believe because of grace through faith. We continue to grow as God makes us grow (1 Corinthians 3:6).  He starts the good work in us and He will complete what he starts.  Yes, sometimes there is set back in our spiritual journey, temptation, frustration, doubt do exist. But anytime when we return (repent) to Him. He will make us grow again. This is faith.  Since we have this trust in Him, we do not worry and we do not fear the judgement in front of God on that Day.

This week, we start construction of our building project. Yes, it is a long process and it is just the beginning. We still have a few permits to apply, mortgage to apply, selection of constructor, etc. We need your partnership in this project.  Please pray for the project.   On the other hand, let us have faith in God.  It is His project. I pray that as He starts our project this week, He will bring it in completion soon.  It will be a place we can serve Him,  a place people will come and know Christ. May all the glory belong to God. Amen.
