Devotional – Come to Save the World – John 12:47

“….For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.”  John 12:47

As an author says, “we are living in a generation that we throw away things that are slightly damaged”.  No one repair things.  That seems to be true.  When I discover that a printer toner is more expensive than to buy a new printer, there is really not much I can do to resist this trend.

Unfortunately, because of this culture, we treat people in the same manner.  We don’t want to involve ourselves with those who are sick, who have problem, mental or spiritual.  We close our door to them. Perhaps, we are afraid of being infected or perhaps we are afraid that we will be treated the same.

“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”  Mark 2:17

Jesus never gave up on us.  He came to save and not to destroy.

May we learn to see the value of people as the way Jesus sees them.  May we learn to love instead of to judge. Remember we are all the same, we need Jesus.
